Why are some of our user managers do not receive an email notification when a learner submits an assignment?

Answer

Only users with Marker Roles will receive an email notification when a learner submits an assignment. If you would like your user managers to receive this notification, you need to assign them with a Marker Role.

The Marker Role is an extra role that can be assigned to users to grant authority and access to mark assets or assessments. To understand how roles are implemented in our system, read more on our Helpsite about Roles.

Steps

To assign a user as a marker, make sure that you have access or authority to modify a user’s profile and assign an extra role.

Before we proceed on assigning a Marker role to a user, please double check the Email Settings in your tenant. Make sure that notifications for Markers are enabled.

1. Navigate to Settings > Email Settings.

2. Select the Marking tab and check if notifications are enabled.
